The Latest At Virto/Elcan Industries

This silver powder was put in an SXE 950 with a 15 Micron screen. This powder is coated to reduce agglomeration. Because of this coating, the particles sometimes become irregular and misshaped. This is what needs to be screened out as well as particles that are too large. Below are pictures of the screens used for this project. Even a 15 Micron screen showed no signs of blinding. Even with a low percentage of open area we were able to screen 100 LBS/HR at 97% efficiencies. (Wow those are small holes!!)
